Pepwave Max BR1 MK2 Cellular Router includes 2 antenna ports to attach external cellular antennas. See below for different options for high gain and high performance indoor and outdoor antennas to improve the signal strength and indoor coverage. Additionally, see below for RF bidirectional amplifiers/ distributed antenna systems/ repeaters/ small cells to further improve indoor coverage without directly attaching pigtail/ cable the device.

Cellular Repeaters/ Bi-Directional Amplifiers

Because the Pepwave Max BR1 MK2 Cellular Router device has an external antenna port you could use the high gain external antenna kits above to boost your signal. However, if your outdoor signal is very weak, or you require a very long cable run to get from the outdoor antenna to the device (long runs lead to large signal loss) consider using an RF bidirectional amplifier/ repeater suitable for the supported bands and cellular operator to boost your indoor coverage:

Customize your solution

STEP 1: Your Pepwave Max BR1 MK2 Cellular Router operates on these frequency bands: LTE Band 1 (2100 MHz) LTE Band 2 LTE Band 3 LTE Band 4 LTE Band 5 LTE Band 7 LTE Band 8 LTE Band 12 (700 MHz) LTE Band 13 (700 MHz) LTE Band 20 LTE Band 25 LTE Band 26 LTE Band 29 LTE Band 30 LTE Band 41 (2.5 GHz TDD). Determine what frequency bands your operator uses here. Then determine compatible antennas based on what your device supports and what your operator supports here.

 

STEP 2: Determine the cable length you need from the outdoor antenna to the Pepwave Max BR1 MK2 Cellular Router and configure your length here (select N-Male on both ends)

 

STEP 3: Determine if you need a lightning protection device. If you do, you will need a jumper cable.

 

STEP 4: Order the pigtail for your modem below:

 

STEP 5: If the pigtail's Connector 2 is FME-F you will need an N-Female/FME-F adapter to mate to the N-Male cable in step 2. Alternatively, select an N-Male/FME-M cable in step 2 above (more expensive and less re-usable) to avoid requiring this adapter.

This device has 2 RPSMA-Female antenna ports. To mate this port to an N-Male coaxial cable (or an antenna with an N-Male connector) use an RPSMA-Male to N-Female adapter as below:

However, if your access point is very far, or you need to reach a WLAN station that is very far, or you require a very long cable run to get from the antenna mounting location to the device (long runs lead to large signal loss) consider using an WLAN signal bidirectional amplifier the supported WLAN band to extend your WLAn coverage within regulatory limits
